The panel, led by CJI Justice BR Gavai, has told the Speaker to decide on the disqualification petitions within three months. The Supreme Court has turned down the request to dismiss MLAs who switched parties. It has been commented that the principle of operation success, patient death should not be applied. It believes that Parliament itself should bring a law regarding MLAs who change parties.
