Hyderabad Rains Trigger Flooding in Several Colonies, Locals Struggle With Waterlogging

Hyderabad, August 10 (Maxim News): Heavy overnight rains on Saturday left several parts of the city waterlogged, causing severe inconvenience to residents. Waist-deep floodwaters were reported in low-lying areas such as Meerpet and Mithilanagar, while roads in Balaji Nagar and Sathya Sai Nagar turned into streams as water flowed unchecked.

In several colonies, including Sathya Sai Nagar and Mithilanagar, floodwaters entered homes, forcing residents to spend the night draining water and safeguarding their belongings. Overflowing drains in Malakpet, Yakutpura, and other parts of the city worsened the situation, with stagnant water remaining on the streets due to a lack of proper drainage outlets.
