Hyderabad, July 20: Three minor girls went missing from Hyderabad’s Domalguda area, prompting police to launch a large-scale search operation after they were last seen travelling towards the city’s railway stations.
According to the police, the girls belong to migrant worker families from Chhattisgarh and reside in Farid Basti. They left their homes on Sunday but did not return, causing panic among their family members.
After searching for the children without success, the families lodged a complaint with the police on Sunday night.
Police examined CCTV footage and found that the girls boarded an auto-rickshaw from Himayatnagar before reaching Kacheguda Railway Station. Additional surveillance footage later showed them at Secunderabad Railway Station.
Based on the footage, investigators suspect the girls may have travelled out of Hyderabad, possibly towards their native state.
Police have formed spbecial teams to trace the missing girls. Officbials are coordinating with railway authorities, analysing surveillance footage, and alerting police units in neighbouring districts as well as Chhattisgarh to determine whether the children attempted to return home.
The investigation is continuing.
