Huge Trolley For Khairatabad Ganesh: 26 Tires, 75 Feet Long, 11 Feet Wide
Hyderabad, Sept 4 (Maxim News): As the Ganesha immersion celebrations begin, all eyes are on the Khairatabad Ganesh idol. Large vehicles, trucks and cranes are used to transport small idols. And many devotees want to know how a huge idol like that weighing 40 to 50 tons and standing 60 feet tall is transported. However, the organizers have brought a Bahubali truck, which surpasses trucks, for the immersion of the huge ganesh idol.
As per the details, the preparations for immersion have begun at the Khairatabad Ganesh idol. Today September 4, the last day, the idol will be transported after giving darshan to the devotees till midnight. The organizers have brought a huge tusker from Vijayawada for the immersion. The huge trolley reached Khairatabad on Wednesday night. The Maha Ganapati idol weighs about 40 top 50 tonnes. It is not possible to transport such a huge idol on ordinary trucks. That is why a specially designed vehicle was brought from AP for the Khairatabad Ganesh immersion.
Welding work is underway on the huge tusker that came from Vijayawada. The height of the Kharatabad Ganesh is 69 feet and the width is 20 feet. Welding work will be done on it to properly install the idol on the tusker. The organizers said that the work is being done with 20 workers under the supervision of welder Nagababu. The Khairatabad Bada Ganesha, which received worship for 9 days, will be immersed on Saturday (September 6). The immersion of this huge Ganpati will take place in Hussain Sagar.
This huge tusker brought from Vijayawada has 26 wheels. This tusker, which is 75 feet long and 11 feet wide, has the capacity to carry a weight of 100 tons. A base is being set up with iron pillars to ensure that the statue does not move. The organizers said that the Big Ganapati will be mounted on the tusker at midnight on Friday (September 5). The supporting welding will be done immediately after that.
The shed around the Ganpati Mandapam will be removed from Friday. At 12 midnight, the Kalasha Puja will be performed and the idol will be prepared for the procession. After that, the tusker will be decorated with various types of flowers. The huge Ganpati will be placed on the tusker around 1 pm on Friday. After that, there will be supporting work for 3 hours, the organizers said.
After that, the immersion procession will start on Saturday morning, it is said that the Shobha Yatra, which is about 2 to 3 kilometers long, will take 6 to 7 hours. For this, driving expert Venkata Reddy has been specially brought from Suryapet. another truck from Hyderabad is being used for the Kanyaka Parameshwari Jagannath Swamy, Lakshmi Sometha Harigriya Swamy and Gajjalamma Devi, who are enshrined in the idol of Bada Ganesha.
