Heavy Rain
AIMIM MLA Kausar Mohiuddin swung into action along Corporators Mohammed Naseeruddin, Haroon Farhaan, and others soon after reports of flooding reached him.
He coordinated with officials from the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) and Hyderabad Road Development Authority (HYDRAA), ensuring that field teams were on the ground to clear major waterlogged points.
Officials confirmed that continuous monitoring will continue through the night to prevent further inconvenience.
Friday’s rain once again underscored Hyderabad’s recurring challenge of urban flooding.
While the immediate response helped ease the crisis, the downpour has revived concerns over the city’s drainage infrastructure and its ability to cope with extreme weather events.
