Telangana Govt Moves To Supreme Court On BC Reservations
Delhi/Hyderabad, Oct 14 (Maxim News) Telangana BC Reservation has been mentioned in the Supreme Court. The Telangana government has mentioned the petition for 42 percent reservation in the Supreme Court. The state government’s lawyers have mentioned it to the Supreme Court Registrar.
The lawyers have requested that it be taken up for hearing on Thursday (16th of this month) or Friday (17th of this month). The Registrar has stated that it will be listed with the permission of the Chief Justice. In this order, the BC reservation petition is likely to come up for hearing before the Supreme Court on Thursday or Friday.

Meanwhile.. It is known that the Telangana High Court has stayed the GO 9 given on BC reservations. The Telangana government has challenged this in the Supreme Court. The petition stated that the stay given by the High Court on 42 percent GO to BCs should be lifted.
The Telangana government has requested that the inquiry be taken up quickly.. and that the inquiry should be held this week itself. The petition stated that the notification for the local body elections has been issued, and everyone is filing nominations.. In this order, a decision should be made on the reservations.
The stay imposed by the Telangana High Court on GO No. 9 should be lifted. The government said that the High Court had stayed these reservations without fully hearing their arguments, that the detailed details of the BCs were collected through the caste census, and that the percentage of reservations was decided after the commission’s study.
The government stated in its petition that there are more than 56 percent BCs in Telangana and that 42 percent reservation was allocated according to the population ratio. (Maxim News)
