Tolichowki Police Solve Auto Driver’s Murder Case Within 24 Hours

The Tolichowki police swiftly solved a murder case in less than 24 hours, arresting a suspect accused of strangling a 25-year-old auto driver to death following a dispute over a mobile phone. The victim, identified as Mohd Muzzamil alias Ayub, was found dead in his auto near SS Function Hall at Tolichowki on Thursday.

Police investigations uncovered that Muzzamil had been drinking alcohol with a group of friends the previous night. Among them was the suspect, Mohammed Ishaque alias Khalid, an electrician from Shaheen Nagar. According to investigators, a heated argument erupted between them over Muzzamil’s mobile phone. During the confrontation, Khalid allegedly used a wire to strangle Muzzamil to death before fleeing the scene with the phone.

Following the discovery of the body, Tolichowki police launched a detailed investigation using CCTV footage and eyewitness accounts. Their efforts led to the swift tracing and arrest of the suspect at a lodge in Hakeempet early Friday morning. The suspect’s location was identified through surveillance tracking and local inquiries conducted soon after the murder report.

Officials confirmed the recovery of the stolen mobile phone and the victim’s auto rickshaw during the arrest. The rapid breakthrough in the case has brought relief to residents in the area who were unsettled by the shocking crime. Police have taken the accused into custody for further questioning and are preparing documentation to present the case before court.

The incident has underlined once again the growing importance of digital surveillance and prompt coordination among Hyderabad police teams in solving violent crime cases swiftly and effectively.
