Chevella Bus Accident Claims 21 Lives, CM Revanth Orders Relief
Chevella bus accident | Hyderabad: A major road accident near Mirzaguda in Chevella mandal, Rangareddy district, claimed 21 lives in the early hours of Monday.
The mishap occurred when an RTC bus from Tandur depot collided with a lorry carrying a heavy load of gravel.
Several passengers sustained serious injuries, and officials fear the death toll may rise.

According to police, the impact caused the gravel load to fall onto the bus, trapping many passengers inside.
Rescue teams, with the help of three JCB machines, are working continuously to extricate victims from the debris. Ambulances and emergency medical teams were rushed to the site to provide immediate aid.

Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy expressed deep concern over the tragedy and directed the Chief Secretary and DGP to ensure prompt medical care for the injured.
He instructed officials to shift the critically injured to Hyderabad for advanced treatment and ordered ministers in the vicinity to reach the site immediately.
The Chief Minister Revanth Reddy also directed that all available ambulances and emergency response units be mobilized without delay.
Authorities have launched an investigation into the cause of the collision. Preliminary reports suggest overspeeding and poor visibility may have contributed to the accident.
