Bus Accidents in Telugu States | Hyderabad, Nov. 4: In a span of 24 hours, five major bus accidents across Telangana and Andhra Pradesh have left citizens deeply alarmed.
The series of mishaps has raised serious concerns about passenger safety and vehicle maintenance standards in both states.
Series of Bus Accidents Across Telangana and Andhra Pradesh
The most tragic of these occurred early Monday morning near Mirzaguda in Chevella mandal, where a tipper lorry collided with an RTC bus.
Nineteen passengers were killed on the spot, and dozens sustained injuries.
Later that night, another fatal crash took place in Eluru district of Andhra Pradesh near Jubilinagar in Lingapalem mandal.
A bus overturned, killing one person instantly and injuring several others.
Bus Accidents in Telugu States
In a third incident, an RTC bus from Metpally depot traveling from Hyderabad to Karimnagar rammed into a tractor carrying grain near Renikunta outskirts.
The tractor driver and 15 passengers suffered serious injuries.
A fourth accident was reported in Damajipalli on the Chennai–Kottapalli highway in Sri Sathya Sai district.
A travel bus collided with an Eicher vehicle and overturned, killing one woman and injuring nine others.
The fifth crash occurred on the Addanki–Narketpalli national highway near Buggabaavigudem in Nalgonda district.
A private travel bus speeding along the road rear-ended a tractor, leaving five passengers seriously injured.
Over the past 48 hours, similar severe bus accidents have been reported in other parts of the country as well.
Authorities are urging drivers to follow safety regulations, while anxious citizens demand stricter enforcement to prevent further tragedies.
