Governor Jishnu Dev Varma emphasized that education in the modern era thrives through technology, experience, and adaptability. Speaking at the second convocation ceremony of Satavahana University in Karimnagar on Friday, he said education was no longer limited to chalk and board, but had evolved to breathe through digital transformation. He described how technology-driven learning had broken barriers of geography, privilege, and opportunity, opening new pathways for equitable knowledge access.

Highlighting the rise of online and experiential learning, the Governor said that “skill is the new strength” and that continuous learning remains the core of success. “Every degree is a beginning and every failure a teacher clothed in humility,” he remarked, underlining the importance of resilience and lifelong education. He noted that experiential learning not only develops intellect but also nurtures character and social responsibility. Every project, he said, serves as a rehearsal in compassion, creativity, and contribution to society.

Describing the importance of collaboration in academia, Governor Varma said that teamwork forms the cornerstone of collective progress. He urged the graduating students to embrace multidisciplinary thinking, explaining that “true wisdom lies at the intersections where science meets emotion and ambition meets empathy.” His message resonated with the audience of faculty, students, and dignitaries, stressing harmony between knowledge, innovation, and human values.

During the ceremony, the Governor hailed the graduating students as an example of dedication and persistence. He said their achievements proved that merit thrives despite modest beginnings and that perseverance remains the greatest equalizer in life. Earlier in the convocation, Satavahana University conferred degrees upon 161 students and awarded 25 PhDs, recognizing their excellence in research and academics. The event concluded with a call to embrace continuous learning to shape a progressive and inclusive future.
