- Laxman alleges industrial lands are being grabbed in Telangana
- BJP MP criticises Revanth Reddy over land issues and party funding
Hyderabad: BJP MP Laxman has accused Chief Minister Revanth Reddy of opening a major scam involving industrial lands in Telangana. Speaking to the media on Saturday, he alleged that the Chief Minister is trying to grab industrial lands across the state and link them with bigwigs. He said, “nearly ten thousand acres of industrial lands are being grabbed,” and claimed that this activity is part of a plan to fund “heads of the Congress party at Delhi.”
He said the attempt to use industrial lands in this manner raises serious concerns and needs immediate correction. He added that such moves threaten public interest and damage trust in the government. Laxman also recalled earlier issues and said, “KCR also tried to grab Indira Park and NTR Stadium lands and we stopped him.” He demanded that the government use industrial lands only for public benefit and not for any other purpose.
Laxman urged the state cabinet to withdraw what he described as a policy focused on grabbing industrial lands. He dismissed reports about a notice issued by the BJP high command to a party MP in Telangana and said the issue had not come to his attention. He stressed that the party continues to focus on discipline and unity despite recent discussions in political circles.
Meanwhile, Laxman spoke about the recent by election in Jubilee Hills and said the party will review where things went wrong. He added that elections are certain in the constituencies of MLAs who left the party, and expressed confidence that the BJP will win those seats. He said the party sees positive signs in Telangana and added that “good days are coming for the Telangana BJP.”
He also said that if the BJP comes to power in the state, it will ensure that all industrial lands in Hyderabad remain protected. According to him, safeguarding these lands is essential for the city’s development and for maintaining public trust in administrative decisions.
