Chittoor, July 4: Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu said the government will focus on Kuppam’s development. He made the remarks during a programme in Kuppam on Friday.
He said gold fields have started in Jonnagiri. He also said steps will follow if reports of gold mines in Kuppam prove true. He added that his government is resolving land disputes.
Kuppam gets fresh push
Naidu said the temples in Kuppam will be developed with Rs. 34 crore from TTD funds. He criticised the previous government for bias in Kuppam’s development. He also said it misled people on water supply and built film sets instead.
He said tourism projects will come up in Kuppam. These include elephant safari, rock climbing and trekking. He added that a master plan is being prepared with Surbana Jurong and IIT Kanpur.
On politics, Naidu said he will stay soft with people. However, he said he will be strict with anti social forces. He also blamed rowdies for many problems in the state.
Naidu said his political career will complete 50 years in two years. He also attacked the previous government over several incidents. On the capital issue, he said the capital cannot change after a central law. He added that the government’s goal is Amaravati’s development.
