- TTD chairman confirms US devotee donation for PAC building renovation
- TTD receives Rs 9 crore contribution for PAC 1 2 and 3 facilities
Hyderabad: US devotee donation to the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams received major attention after a US-based devotee contributed Rs 9 crore for renovation works in Tirupati. TTD chairman B. R. Naidu confirmed the donation and said the contribution would help improve infrastructure for devotees. He also shared that the donor, M. Ramalinga Raju, made the contribution on Wednesday.
Raju donated the amount specifically for the renovation of the PAC-1, PAC-2 and PAC-3 buildings. These complexes handle a large part of the pilgrim inflow, and therefore upgrading them has been a key focus for the temple administration. Naidu wrote on X, “Another great donation to TTD. M Ramalinga Raju donated Rs 9 crore for the renovation of PAC-1, 2 and 3 buildings.” He noted that the devotee had earlier donated Rs 16 crore in 2012. This earlier support had already made a major impact on facilities at Tirumala.
Naidu extended his congratulations on behalf of TTD for the new contribution. He said he wished for the deity’s blessings on Raju and acknowledged the importance of such acts of devotion. Meanwhile, he expressed hope that similar contributions would come from Raju in the future. He said the support from devotees helped the temple administration upgrade services and meet the needs of the growing number of pilgrims.
The chairman described the donation as an important step in improving the overall experience of visitors. He said the renovation work would help the temple body manage footfall more effectively. He added that these efforts aligned with TTD’s long-term plans to strengthen infrastructure. Therefore, the latest contribution came at a crucial time.
TTD is the custodian of the Sri Venkateswara Swamy temple in Tirupati. The temple is considered one of the richest Hindu shrines in the world. Its administration has often relied on donations from devotees to expand facilities. This latest US devotee donation added to the long tradition of support received by the institution.
