Hearing On GO 46 In Telangana High Court
Hyderabad, Nov 27 (Maxim News): The High Court has taken up the matter of hearing on a petition filed challenging the Telangana government’s GO 46. The government has issued GO 46 on reservation in Panchayat elections in the state. In this context, backward caste groups have filed petitions in the court.
Advocate Sudarshan argued on behalf of the petitioners. They requested that an urgent hearing be held. They brought to the court’s attention that reservations should be given to the most backward castes. They wanted reservations to be given on the basis of ABCD categories in BCs. After hearing the arguments, the CJ bench said that it will hold a hearing on Friday. (Maxim News)
