Amar Subramaniam, an Indian technologist with long experience in artificial intelligence, has been appointed as the new Vice President of Apple’s Artificial Intelligence division. He joins the company after working at Google for 16 years and is known as one of the most experienced AI researchers in the field. He joined Google in 2009 as a staff research scientist and rose to the level of vice president during his tenure. Apple believes his leadership will help shape its long-term approach to responsible AI and advanced model development.
