Demand surged after organisers confirmed that Lionel Messi will play in the friendly match, drawing exceptional attention from political leaders and officials who are making continuous calls to event coordinators.
Officials report that heavy pressure is mounting on them as leaders seek multiple passes. Many have contacted Sports Minister V Sunil Harikrishna directly, urging him to distribute additional passes.

Football fans are also keen to attend the friendly match. However, the involvement of political leaders increased after it became known that Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy will join the opponent team in the exhibition game.
This detail added further significance to the Messi Hyderabad Match, elevating the rush for access.
All premium tickets for the stadium are already sold out. Organisers fixed a fee of ten lakh rupees for those wishing to take a photograph with Messi at Falaknuma Palace.
Only one hundred such exclusive tickets were issued, and they also sold out quickly. Although organisers provided a limited set of complimentary passes to the government, ministers and officials are now competing to obtain them.
Special Chief Secretary Jayesh Ranjan is coordinating with the private event organisers. Consequently, many leaders are calling him to secure passes.

Reports indicate that even he is unable to decide how many passes to allot to each leader. Some officials from the Secretariat are clarifying that the government is not organising this programme, which is fully private.
Responsibility for distributing passes among ministers was assigned to Sports Minister Harikrishna. On learning this, several ministers and MLAs started calling him directly, requesting a higher number of passes and explaining that their families and friends also wish to attend.
Sources say the minister is unable to answer repeated requests, as he has not yet been informed about the final allocation schedule.
Meanwhile, reports suggest that the minister’s son is under pressure. Expecting VIP passes because his father holds the sports portfolio, he asked his friends abroad to travel to Hyderabad.
Since the passes have not yet arrived, he is reportedly stressed about the situation.
