According to information available, there was a visible rush at the Jubilee Bus Station and the Uppal Bus Stop in Hyderabad. These locations became crowded as voters boarded buses and other transport to reach their villages. Meanwhile, the steady flow of passengers continued through the day. The travel surge showed strong public interest ahead of the second phase panchayat elections.

The impact of the travel rush was most visible in the Uppal area. The entire locality turned busy with people heading to their hometowns. Due to the increased movement, traffic congestion developed along the route. Vehicles moved slowly, causing delays for commuters. However, people continued their journeys despite the inconvenience, determined to reach their polling destinations on time.

As part of the second phase panchayat elections, polling will be held for the posts of sarpanches and ward members. The elections will cover 3,911 panchayats where the outcome was not unanimous. In total, voters will elect sarpanches and 29,903 ward members in this phase. Therefore, the scale of the polling exercise remains significant across Telangana’s rural areas.

Meanwhile, the movement of voters from Hyderabad highlighted the city’s strong connection with surrounding villages. Many residents maintain voting rights in their native panchayats. Therefore, election days often see a surge in inter district travel. The scenes at bus stations and on major routes reflected this pattern once again during the second phase panchayat elections.

As polling day approaches, the emphasis continues to be on smooth conduct of the second phase panchayat elections and enabling citizens to cast their votes.
