Telangana SSC Exam | Hyderabad, Dec. 21: The Telangana Class 10 (SSC) examination schedule may witness changes, as demands grow to reduce the long gaps between exams.
Students, parents, and education stakeholders have raised concerns that excessive intervals between papers are unnecessarily extending the exam period and increasing stress on students.
Adding weight to these demands, MLC Sripal Reddy recently urged Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy to shorten the gaps between examinations. He pointed out that conducting exams over an entire month places avoidable pressure on students, both mentally and academically.
Sources indicate that Chief Minister Revanth Reddy responded positively to the request and has instructed officials to examine the issue and take appropriate action. This has raised expectations of a possible revision in the existing timetable.

Currently, the School Education Department has announced that the Class 10 examinations will be held from March 14 to April 16.
Officials have defended the extended schedule, stating that longer gaps between exams, on the lines of the CBSE pattern, allow students more preparation time for each subject, helping them perform better.
However, critics argue that prolonged exams disrupt students’ routines and delay the academic calendar, including admissions to higher classes.
With the Chief Minister’s intervention, education department officials are now expected to review the schedule and assess whether the gaps can be reduced without affecting exam quality.
A final decision is likely after consultations within the department, keeping students’ welfare and academic efficiency in mind.
