359th ”Prakash Utsav” Of Guru Gobind Singh Celebrated With Gaiety And Devotion By Sikhs
Hyderabad, Dec 27 (Maxim News): The 359th Prakash Utsav (Birthday Celebrations) of Tenth and Last Sikh Guru, Sri Guru Gobind Singhji, founder of Khalsa Panth, who spread the message of peace and communal harmony across the world concluded on Saturday with Sikh devotees and other community faiths celebrating it with religious fervour, gaiety and devotion by offering prayers to Guru Granth Sahibji at various Sikh Gurudwaras in Telangana.
The main concluding event was organised under the aegis of Prabandhak Committee, Central Gurdwara Sahib Gowliguda where Sikh devotees and other community faith participated in the ” Vishaal Deewan ” (Mass Congregation) by offering prayers to Sri Guru Granth Sahibji (Holy Scripture of Sikhs) organised in front of the Central Gurdwara Sahib Gowliguda

CGSG President, S. Inder Singh said that congregation began this morning at 10.30 AM continued up to 4.30 PM and was marked by the recitations of Gurbani Kirtans (Holy Hymns) and Kathas (sermons) by renowned and reputed Ragi Jathas (Sikh Preachers) who were invited from various parts of the country.
Well Known Ragi Jathas, Bhai Satninder Singhji Bodal from Amritsar, Bhai Gurvinder Singhji from Rudrapur, Bhai Ravinder Singhji and other reputed Ragi Jathas who were specially invited from various parts of the country for the important occasion recited Gurbani Kirtans (Holy Hymns) and delivered Gurbani Vichar (Sermons) that stressed on imbibing the higher values of life and communal harmony for which Guru Gobind Singhji strived.
They also have thrown light on the teachings of Sikh Gurus who stood for national integration, peace, brotherhood and communal harmony. They asked devotees to follow the teachings of Guru Gobind Singhji which are very relevant these days. Guru Gobind Singhji’s life is a lesson in courage, selflessness, and righteousness and urged to imbibe his values in their daily lives — to stand for what is right, to respect diversity, and to live with integrity and compassion. The preachers shared stories of Guru Tegh Bahadur’s teachings and reminded everyone of his message of justice, peace, and human dignity.
The preachers emphasised the significance of Gobind Singhji’s life, which symbolises the ultimate sacrifice for human rights. The Guru defended the rights of people to practice their faith freely. They said Gobind Singhji stood firm for protecting humanity and displayed unmatched sacrifice.
After the culmination of the congregation, the traditional Guru Ka Langar (free community kitchen) was served to all the devotees where devotees sit in the same row with great discipline promoting the feelings of togetherness, fraternity and concern for fellow human beings.
