The incident occurred at Mannat Function Hall during a recent wedding celebration. According to initial complaints, two women wearing burqas entered the venue posing as guests. They allegedly targeted women attendees and stole handbags during the event. Moreover, witnesses said one of the accused appeared to be a woman, while the other looked like a minor girl.

After the ceremony concluded, several women noticed that their purses and handbags were missing. They immediately approached the function hall management and raised complaints. Therefore, the management reviewed the closed circuit television footage installed at the premises

Upon verification, the CCTV footage reportedly showed two burqa clad women picking up handbags and leaving the hall. As a result, the visuals confirmed suspicions raised by the guests. Soon after, the footage began circulating widely on social media platforms, drawing public attention.

Based on the CCTV evidence, a formal complaint was lodged at the Bandlaguda police station. Police officials registered a case and initiated an investigation. They said teams will analyze the footage carefully to identify the accused. Moreover, police are also checking nearby surveillance cameras to trace their movement after leaving the venue.

Police sources said preliminary findings suggest the accused entered the event without raising suspicion. They reportedly blended in with guests and moved freely inside the hall. Therefore, investigators believe the theft was pre planned and executed with coordination.

Officials stated that they will verify whether similar incidents occurred at other function halls in the area. They also urged victims to come forward with detailed information about the stolen items. This, they said, would help speed up the investigation.
