Tragedy During New Year Celebrations: One Dead, 15 Fall Ill After Eating Biryani
Hyderabad, January 1 (Maxim News): New Year celebrations were held grandly across the state of Telangana on the night of December 31. Pubs, clubs, farmhouses, and resorts celebrated the New Year in their own rooms. Tragedies occurred in some places during the new year. One person died after eating biryani as part of the New Year celebrations, while 15 people fell seriously ill and were rushed to the hospital for treatment.
The tragic incident took place in Bhawani Nagar under Jagadgirigutta police station limits. During the New Year celebrations, 17 people got drunk and chilled. Pandu (53) who ate biryani fell ill and died. Another 15 people fell unconscious. All of them have been taken to the hospital and are being treated.
Meanwhile, the police have set up a tight vigil in Hyderabad during the New Year celebrations. The suspects were checked. In this context, two youths were caught with drugs in Narsingh. Srinivas Kalyan from Rajahmundry and Vijay from Goa took drugs and tested positive, the police said. (Maxim News)
