Big Alert For Hyderabad: Payment Of Property And Trade License Fees Online

Hyderabad, Jan 2 (Maxim News): The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has completely abolished the payment of property tax and trade license fee in cash.  However, this new rule has come into effect immediately. From now on, the people have been advised to pay property tax and trade license fee online only.

Officials said that this decision has been taken to promote digital transactions.  According to this, property tax and trade license fees should be paid oly through online or non-cash methods.  Taxes can also be paid through cheque, demand draft, UPI, credit/debit cards, net banking.

This new policy will also apply to newly merged municipalities and areas within the city limits.  Although cash payments were previously made in these areas, a uniform tax collection policy will now be implemented throughout Greater Hyderabad.

The GHMC has urged the city residents to cooperate with this new policy, which is part of strengthening digital governance, it also reminded that taxpayers will be able to get receipts for transactions instantly online. (Maxim News)
