Operation Smile XII Hyderabad Review On Living Condition Of Children 

Hyderabad, Jan. 12 (Maxim News) : As part of the ongoing Operation Smile XII Hyderabad programme, Additional Commissioner of Police Law and Order M Srinivasulu conducted a surprise inspection at the Government Boys Home in Saidabad on Monday.

The senior IPS officer reviewed facilities and interacted with 27 children housed at the institution, including several rescued under Operation Smile XII.

During the visit, Srinivasulu inspected food arrangements, education facilities, medical care, accommodation, and overall living conditions.

He personally spoke with the children to understand their needs and wellbeing. Officials said the inspection aimed to ensure that rescued children receive care strictly as per prescribed child welfare norms.

The Additional Commissioner reviewed safety measures and assessed whether the institution followed child protection guidelines.

He stressed the need for regular monitoring of child care institutions to prevent neglect and ensure rehabilitation.

He also underlined that Operation Smile XII Hyderabad focuses not only on rescue but also on long term care and protection.

Operation Smile XII Hyderabad Stresses Monitoring and Rehabilitation

Srinivasulu issued clear instructions to Krishnaveni, Superintendent of the Government Boys Home, Saidabad, and Dr Rajanna, associated with the institution.

He directed them to ensure continued protection, proper care, and timely rehabilitation of the children. He said authorities must remain vigilant and responsive to the physical and emotional needs of rescued minors.

Officials stated that Operation Smile XII Hyderabad aims to trace and rescue missing, runaway, and trafficked children.

The programme also focuses on restoring them to families wherever possible and placing them in safe institutions when required.

Senior officers from the Women Safety Wing and child protection departments attended the programme.

These included Deputy Commissioner of Police Women Safety Wing Dr P Lavanya Naik Jadav, Balrakshak Bhavan Coordinator Sumalatha, District Child Protection Officer Srinivas, and Vijay Bhaskar, In charge of Child Protection, Hyderabad. Their presence highlighted coordination between police and child welfare agencies.

Police officials said such surprise visits help improve standards in government homes. Moreover, they ensure that institutions do not deviate from established norms. The visit reaffirmed the commitment of Hyderabad police to child welfare and effective execution of Operation Smile XII Hyderabad across the city.

Authorities said inspections will continue at other child care institutions as part of the programme. They added that protecting vulnerable children remains a priority for the police and allied departments. (Maxim News)
