Mohd Saleem Distributes Blankets To Poor In Musheerabad

Hyderabad, Jan. 12 (Maxim News)  Former MLC, former Waqf Board Chairman, and Chairman of the Hajj Committee Mohd Saleem on Monday distributed blankets to poor families at Bholakpur in Musheerabad. The distribution programme was held at Anjuman School, where relief was provided to people affected by winter conditions.

During the programme, Mohd Saleem personally handed over blankets to beneficiaries. Organisers said nearly 1,000 poor and needy people received blankets during the drive.

The initiative aimed to support vulnerable sections, including daily wage workers, elderly persons, and low income families, during the cold season.

Saleem stated that community responsibility plays a key role in addressing basic needs. Therefore, he said similar initiatives should continue to reach more needy families across the city.

Musheerabad MLA Muta Gopal attended the programme and appreciated the initiative. Mohd Saleem said winter relief measures help reduce hardship among economically weaker sections.

Saleem added that community driven efforts complement government welfare schemes and strengthen social support systems. Several local leaders and community representatives were present at the event.

These included Shareef, Dilbar Hussain, Md Sohail, and others. They assisted in coordinating the distribution and managing the crowd. Organisers ensured orderly distribution so that every registered beneficiary received a blanket.

Residents of the area welcomed the initiative and expressed gratitude for the timely support.

Many beneficiaries said the blankets would provide relief during cold nights. Local volunteers also participated in guiding elderly beneficiaries and maintaining arrangements at the venue.

Community leaders said Musheerabad and surrounding localities have a significant number of low income families. Therefore, winter assistance programmes play an important role in safeguarding health and wellbeing.

They said blanket distribution drives help prevent cold related illnesses, especially among senior citizens and children.

Mohd Saleem reiterated his commitment to public service and welfare activities. He said efforts will continue to focus on helping underprivileged sections through similar initiatives.

Mohd Saleem added that collective participation from leaders and volunteers makes such programmes effective.
