Talasani Srinivas Yadav To Fight Cases Against Him Legally
Hyderabad, Jan 15 (Maxim News): With Congress leaders filing cases against him for his remarks on Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, former Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav said he would fight them in court. He insisted that the law should apply equally to all, including those in power who use abusive language.
A police case has been registered against Srinivas Yadav after Congress leader Ravi Kiran lodged a complaint alleging that the former used abusive language against Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, during a meeting for Secunderabad municipal corporation.
The SR Nagar police booked the case, while another complaint was also filed at Mahankali police station seeking action. Though he later retracted his comments and stated that they were made in anger, the Congress leaders filed multiple complaints against him.
Addressing a BRS meeting in Secunderabad Cantonment on Thursday, the former Minister accused the Congress government of attempting to erase the 220-year-old identity of Secunderabad. He unveiled a poster for the “Bachao Secunderabad” peace rally scheduled for January 17, starting from Secunderabad Railway Station.
He said BRS working president KT Rama Rao will attend as chief guest and urged residents, irrespective of party affiliation, to join the rally.
“We will not remain silent if our existence and self-respect are damaged,” he said, calling for collective resistance to the government’s conspiracies. (Maxim News)
