Police Commissioner V.C. Sajjanar issued orders transferring 54 Circle Inspectors in one move. The decision mainly affected officers working in the Central Crime Station and the Cyber Crime division. Officials said the transfers were made for administrative reasons, especially for those who had continued in the same wings for a long time.

According to the orders, 26 Circle Inspectors were directed to report immediately to the Police Commissioner’s Office.

The Commissioner also instructed that these officers should be relieved without delay.

Meanwhile, the remaining transferred inspectors were posted to new assignments across the commissionerate limits.

Senior officials indicated that the reshuffle aims to improve efficiency and accountability within the force.

The Hyderabad Police Commissionerate has seen growing challenges in recent months, particularly due to a rise in cyber crimes.

Against this backdrop, Commissioner Sajjanar is believed to be planning fresh reforms in the Cyber Crime wing.

Therefore, several officers were moved out of the division, and new officers were assigned to strengthen cyber policing. The department hopes that these changes will help improve performance and response time.

The transfer orders, which came late on Sunday night, also included changes at key police stations. Station House Officers in sensitive areas such as Banjara Hills, Film Nagar, and Abids were replaced. These areas are considered important due to public movement, law and order sensitivity, and administrative significance.

As a result, the sudden changes have drawn attention from both officials and the public.

Police sources said the reshuffle also takes into account upcoming requirements related to elections and maintenance of law and order.
