- Telangana BIE allows late entry for IPE with five minute grace
- TG BIE exam schedule, centres, and hall ticket details announced
The Telangana BIE late entry norm will apply to students appearing for the Intermediate Public Examinations starting February 25. The Telangana Board of Intermediate Education has decided to allow students to enter examination centres even if they arrive late, but only within a strict five minute grace period. This decision applies to all candidates writing the IPE this year.
According to the Telangana Board of Intermediate Education, examinations will be held daily from 9 am to 12 noon. The last permitted entry time into the examination centre will be 9.05 am. Students must reach their centres by 8.45 am to avoid last minute problems. This five minute grace rule was followed last year as well. Therefore, the board has decided to continue the same norm this year.
The Intermediate Public Examinations will be conducted from February 25 to March 18. A total of 10,47,815 students enrolled in the intermediate first year and second year streams for the academic year 2025 to 26. Of these, 9.96 lakh students paid the examination fee. To ensure smooth conduct, authorities constituted 1,495 examination centres across the state. Meanwhile, officials advised students to strictly follow reporting times and instructions at the centres.
Before the theory exams, practical examinations will take place for both general and vocational streams. These practical exams are scheduled from February 2 to February 21. In addition, English practical exams for first and second year students will be held on January 21 and January 22. For these practicals, the board has set up 1,924 centres. These include 1,410 centres for general courses and 484 centres for vocational streams.
Meanwhile, the ethics and human values examination for backlog students will be conducted on January 23. The environmental education examination will follow on January 24. The Telangana BIE will issue separate hall tickets for practical and theory examinations. However, the hall ticket number will remain the same for both. Like last year, the theory hall ticket will carry a quick response code.
By scanning the QR code using a smartphone, students can find their examination centre. They can also check distance, estimate travel time, and get real time traffic updates. Therefore, the board has urged students to use this feature to plan their travel better and reach the centres on time.
