Hyderabad: Singareni ATM allegations took centre stage after Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar strongly criticised the Congress and BRS parties. Speaking during a chat programme held in Karimnagar, he alleged that both parties used the Singareni organisation for selfish interests and converted it into an ATM. He also raised concerns over alleged irregularities and possible tampering of records linked to the coal company.

Bandi Sanjay said Singareni is now burdened with a debt of Rs. 42 thousand crores. He claimed this situation resulted from continuous looting by the two parties. According to him, irregularities began in 2014 and continued for years. He alleged that the KCR family looted the organisation during this period. Therefore, he demanded that the government immediately seize all records related to Singareni irregularities. He warned that any delay could lead to tampering with crucial evidence.

Meanwhile, he said the responsibility of investigating Singareni lies with the state government. He added that the organisation must be protected by clearing its debts. He stressed that urgent steps are needed to save Singareni from further damage. He also assured that he would work to protect the organisation from what he described as vultures and hawks eyeing its assets.

Bandi Sanjay also made sharp comments on the phone tapping case in Telangana. He alleged that the issue is being run like a TV serial instead of a serious investigation. Challenging the KCR family, he asked, “Is the KCR family ready to come and take an oath as a divine witness that the phone tapping was not done?” He said they had avoided similar challenges in the past. He further alleged that phone tapping anarchy took place in Sircilla Kendra, the constituency of KTR. He claimed his phone was also tapped by placing it on a list of terrorists.

However, he said SIT officials are capable but accused the government of not giving them freedom. He questioned whether the aim was to give a clean chit to KTR in the name of testimony. Later, he said he entered politics not to gain assets but to serve people. He expressed confidence that if the BJP comes to power, it will restore Singareni’s former glory and expose what he called the anarchy of looters. (Maxim News)
