NEET UG 2026 Notification Released, Registrations Begin

Hyderabad: The National Testing Agency has released the NEET UG 2026 notification, opening registrations for students seeking admission to medical courses. Registrations for the national level entrance test began on Sunday, according to the official announcement. The exam remains the main gateway for medical education across the country.

The notification states that NEET UG 2026 will fill seats in several courses. These include MBBS, BDS, AYUSH courses, BVSC, AH, BHMS, and BSC Nursing under M.N.N.S. Therefore, the exam continues to play a key role in medical admissions. Students across India and abroad can apply through the official process.

Meanwhile, the National Testing Agency has opened registrations on its website neet.nta.nic.in. Applications will remain open for one month. Candidates can complete registration until March 8 at 9 pm. However, applicants can pay the examination fee until 11.50 pm on the same day. The agency has also provided a correction window. Students can correct mistakes in their applications from March 10 to March 12.

Later, the agency confirmed the exam schedule. NEET UG 2026 will take place on May 3, which falls on a Sunday. The test will run from 2 pm to 5 pm. It will be a three hour examination. Candidates will write the test using a pen, as specified in the notification. Therefore, the exam format remains unchanged.

Also, students can choose their preferred language. The exam will be conducted in 13 languages. In addition, authorities will hold the test at centres abroad. The entire application process is online only. Officials have advised candidates to follow the timeline carefully to avoid last minute issues.
