ABVP Protest At Inter Board Office Over Hall Tickets in Hyderabad
Hyderabad, Feb.18 (Maxim News): Tension prevailed at the Telangana Intermediate Board office in Nampally after ABVP leaders staged a protest over non issuance of hall tickets to around 300 students.
ABVP leaders accused Intermediate Board Secretary Krishna Aditya of delaying hall tickets. As a result, they held a sudden protest outside the board office.
Soon after, students and leaders tried to enter the premises. Consequently, police intervened and stopped them.
A scuffle broke out between protesters and police, which further raised tension at the site.
Meanwhile, police detained ABVP State Secretary Macharla Ram Babu and several others. They shifted them to a local police station.
Later, Ram Babu addressed the media. He alleged that the secretary was supporting corporate colleges and ignoring students’ futures.
Moreover, he said ABVP would not fear arrests.
He demanded immediate release of hall tickets for all 300 students. Otherwise, he warned that the protest would continue.
In addition, practical examinations are set to begin soon. Therefore, students and parents have expressed concern over the delay.
Student groups urged officials to resolve technical issues quickly. They also demanded urgent action to prevent academic loss.
At present, police have deployed heavy security at the Intermediate Board office to prevent further unrest. (Maxim News)
