Economic Support and Skill Development Schemes Launched for Minorities by Azharuddin

Hyderabad, Feb. 18 (Maxim News):  Minorities Welfare Minister Mohammed Azharuddin launched economic support and skill development schemes for minority communities in Telangana on Wednesday.

The Telangana Government rolled out the initiatives through the Telangana Minorities Finance Corporation. The programme took place at Red Rose Palace in Nampally.

Azharuddin attended the event as Chief Guest and formally launched the schemes. These initiatives aim to improve financial empowerment, employment and self sustainability among minority beneficiaries.

Addressing the gathering, the Minister stressed the government commitment to inclusive growth. He said economic support and skill training would improve the livelihoods of minority families.

Moreover, he stated that the schemes would provide direct financial assistance. In addition, he highlighted special focus on women and youth to help them achieve financial independence.

The programme included distribution of economic assistance and asset support for self employment. It also marked the launch of training and placement initiatives for minority youth for the financial year 2025 26.

Government Chief Whip in the Legislative Council Dr Patnam Mahender Reddy, Advisor Shabbir Ali, Minorities Finance Corporation Chairman Obedulla Kotwal and TMREIS Chairman Fayeem Qureshi attended the event.

MLCs Riyaz Ul Hassan Efendi and Mirza Rahmath Baig, Minority Welfare Secretary Shafiullah and Medchal DCC President Vajresh Yadav were also present along with officials and beneficiaries.

Officials said the schemes aim to ensure sustainable development and equal opportunities for minority communities across Telangana.

They also called for effective implementation to maximize outreach and impact. (Maxim News)
