Vanasthalipuram Pregnant Techie Murder Case Solved; Ex-Husband Arrested

Hyderabad, Feb 20 (Maxim News): The brutal murder of Sunitha, a 30-year-old software professional in Vanasthalipuram was solved, and the police announced the arrest of her former husband for the crime.

Sunitha, who was pregnant at the time of her death, was found stabbed to death inside the bathroom of her house at KNR Meadows in Kappala Cheruvu on Tuesday. Her husband, V Srinath, had gone to work in the morning and rushed back home after receiving a call from his mother, only to find her lying in a pool of blood.

Police identified and arrested suspect Devarakonda Mahesh (30), the victim’s former husband.

Investigations revealed that the couple had divorced in 2024 following marital disputes and a harassment case. Sunitha later remarried in 2025.

According to police, Mahesh allegedly bore a grudge against her and entered the house in the absence of her husband before attacking her with knives. A car, a mobile phone, and a bag containing knives were seized from the suspect. (Maxim News)
