TTD Digital Display Boards Boost Srivari Dharma Rathalu
Hyderabad, Feb. 25 (Maxim News): The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams has strengthened its Srivari Dharma Rathalu services in Tirumala with digital display boards at bus stops. As a result, devotees now receive real time bus arrival updates. This step has increased the use of free bus services across the hill shrine.
TTD operates Srivari Dharma Rathalu to ease pilgrim movement in Tirumala. At present, 12 modern electric buses run under this system. These buses complete around 300 trips daily. Each trip covers nearly 6.5 kilometers. Consequently, the service supports smooth transport within the temple town.
Officials installed digital display boards at 20 bus stops. These boards show the live location and arrival time of buses. Therefore, devotees no longer wait without information. Most buses now arrive within 10 minutes. Hence, more pilgrims prefer free transport over private taxis.
Srivari Dharma Rathalu Enhance Pilgrim Mobility
The introduction of digital display boards has significantly increased ridership. Nearly 60,000 devotees use Srivari Dharma Rathalu every day. The service ensures safe and convenient travel for pilgrims visiting Tirumala.
Earlier, many devotees relied on private taxis due to uncertainty about bus timings. Taxi operators often charged high fares. However, TTD addressed this issue through technology driven reforms. Additional Executive Officer C H Venkayya Chowdary took special initiative to implement the system.

Hyderabad based BS Technotronics Private Limited donated the digital display boards. Meanwhile, Olectra Green Tech Limited extended technical support. This collaboration enabled quick rollout of the real time tracking system.
Moreover, electric buses have reduced fuel consumption and pollution in Tirumala. The system supports environmental protection and promotes sustainable transport. It also reduces vehicle congestion in the temple town.
Currently, buses operate 60 trips between 9 pm and 5 am. Authorities plan to add 20 more night trips soon. In addition, officials are preparing to introduce more electric buses based on pilgrim demand.
TTD officials stated that the initiative aims to provide eco friendly and efficient public transport. With digital display boards and expanded services, Srivari Dharma Rathalu continue to gain wide acceptance among devotees. (Maxim News)
