Hyderabad: BRS Working President and former Minister K. Taraka Rama Rao alleged massive irregularities in the mining e auction in Suryapet district. He wrote a letter to Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and raised several issues. He demanded an independent inquiry and cancellation of the tenders.
KTR stated that the auction is being held without clarity on about 1,100 acres of reserved forest. He questioned the process and sought transparency. Meanwhile, he urged the government to respond to the concerns.
KTR Flags Mining E Auction Issues in Suryapet
KTR said key technical details were not disclosed in the mining e auction. He asked why Latitude Longitude and DGPS survey details were not shared. He also questioned the absence of geological reports.
Furthermore, he said there was a violation of Mineral Action Rules 2015. He asked why the Congress government did not heed the instructions of the Telangana High Court. Therefore, he raised doubts about the legality of the process.
KTR also expressed concern over the announcement of preferred bidders. He said companies were selected even before environmental clearances were completed. He described these steps as questionable and demanded accountability.
Demand to Cancel Tender and Order Probe
Doubts are being expressed about the allocation of blocks to Deccan Cements and NCL Industries. According to the letter, these companies are facing mining irregularities and cases. Therefore, KTR demanded that the tender be cancelled immediately.
He appealed to the Chief Minister to conduct a new auction in a transparent manner. He said this should happen only after all permissions are obtained. Meanwhile, he called for an independent inquiry to examine the alleged irregularities in the mining e auction in Suryapet district.
