Telangana Congress to fill party posts by month end

Hyderabad, March 4: Telangana Congress has finalised a schedule to fill long pending party posts by the end of this month.

The leadership has directed District Congress Committee presidents to submit names as part of a ten day training programme.

According to the plan, DCC executive committees and mandal and block presidents will be appointed by the 15th of this month. From the 16th to 25th, mandal and block executive bodies will be finalised.

Telangana Congress accelerates appointment process

From April 1 to 30, the party will appoint booth level and gram panchayat presidents and committees. Leaders said they will review social equations before issuing final lists.

The party plans to give priority to loyal workers and those who have not received opportunities so far. It will also consider recommendations from MLAs and MPs to avoid disputes.

Meanwhile, AICC has cleared the filling of nominated posts. State leaders have set a deadline of next month 15 to complete the process.

Several state and district level corporation chairperson and director posts remain vacant. Appointments to caste federation and corporation posts are also under consideration.

Allied parties CPI and Telangana Jana Samithi have sought representation in nominated posts. They reminded Congress of their support during the Assembly elections. Leaders who recently joined Congress are also seeking positions.

Party sources said the leadership may announce appointments by the end of this month or in April, while some corporation posts could be filled after the current terms end in early June.
