Tension in Birpur | Jagtiyal/Hyderabad, Mar 5 (Maxim News): There was a tense atmosphere in Birpur, the hometown of Maoist leader Ganapati, on Wednesday night.
The news that the Maoist leader was surrendering in Delhi suddenly created a tense atmosphere in the village.
The elderly, young and women of the village are eagerly sitting in front of the TVs and getting information from time to time.

The people of Birpur are eagerly waiting to see how Ganapati, who started his career as a teacher and then joined the movement, is doing now.
In 2013, an intermathanam program was organized in Birpur village under the leadership of the then SP Shivakumar to demand the surrender of Mupala Laxmanrao alias Ganapathi.
This year, SP Shivakumar was staying in Darbhanga village. The SP invited the people to meet in the crowd to demand the surrender of Ganapathi on the stage. (Maxim News)
