Mandula Samuel Bandi Sanjay War Of Words Escalates
Hyderabad, Mar 16 (Maxim News) A war of words between Congress MLA Mandula Samuel and Union Minister Bandi Sanjay has intensified in Telangana politics. The exchange of sharp remarks continued on Monday.
Earlier, Bandi Sanjay warned that he would defeat Mandula Samuel in Tungaturthi. He also said he would politically challenge him. In response, Samuel issued a strong counter.
Samuel said Bandi Sanjay should visit once to see his strength. The verbal exchange has since drawn attention in political circles. Meanwhile, the confrontation escalated further with fresh remarks.
Speaking to the media at the Assembly premises, Mandula Samuel clarified his earlier comments. He said he did not speak against Brahmins in a derogatory manner. He also said his remarks were misunderstood.
He said he spoke without full clarity of the language. However, he alleged that some people spread false propaganda. Therefore, he said his comments did not target the Brahmin community.
Samuel also said he had earlier attended Godavari Pushkarams for ritual bathing. He added that he respects all communities. Meanwhile, he warned of a protest if Bandi Sanjay continued to target him.
Samuel said he would organise a Dalit Kavathu in Karimnagar if the attacks continued. He issued this warning during his interaction with the media. The remarks further intensified the political exchange.
The controversy traces back to remarks made during an event. Samuel had spoken at the responsibility taking programme of TPCC SC Cell chairman Kavvampalli Satyanarayana. His comments there triggered reactions from BJP leaders.
The incident has now turned into a political debate between Congress and BJP leaders. Both sides continue to exchange statements. The issue remains part of the ongoing political discourse in the state. (Maxim News)
