- Ugadi festival marks new hopes, renewal, and agriculture
Hyderabad: Former Chief Minister and BRS chief K. Chandrasekhar Rao extended his greetings to the people of Telangana on the occasion of the ‘Sri Prabhava’ Nama Sasthra Ugadi festival. He said the festival holds deep meaning beyond the change of time and reflects cultural and social values.
He stated that Ugadi is not just about the passage of time. Instead, it has become the ‘Rythu Nama Sastra’, which marks the resumption of agricultural work. He emphasized that the festival connects people with nature and farming traditions. Therefore, it carries importance for both cultural and agricultural life.
KCR further explained that nature itself reflects change during this period. He said Mother Nature leaves behind winter and welcomes spring with new shoots. This seasonal shift, he noted, brings fresh hopes and new resolutions. Also, he pointed out that the cycle of time repeats itself from Ugadi, giving people a chance to begin again.
Meanwhile, he highlighted the deeper philosophy behind the festival. He said Ugadi, named after ‘Sri Parabhava’, teaches that hatred, arrogance, and bad qualities should be destroyed. Instead, people should adopt higher aspirations and follow a noble path. He stressed that such values are important for personal growth and social harmony.
He also expressed hope for the future of the state. KCR said that the hardships, losses, and problems faced by people would be overcome. He wished that the lives of all citizens would be filled with happiness, health, and wealth. Furthermore, he added that the state would achieve renewed glory and move forward on the path of success.
In conclusion, KCR’s Ugadi message combined cultural meaning with a call for positive change. His message reflected hope for better times and a renewed sense of purpose among the people of Telangana.
