Hyderabad: The Delhi High Court has directed the Central Election Commission to take a quick decision on the party registration of former MP Kalvakuntla Kavitha. The Kavitha Party Registration issue gained attention after the court asked authorities to act without delay.

The matter relates to the registration of Kavitha’s new political party, Telangana Praja Jagruti. The court’s direction comes as a relief for Kavitha in the ongoing process. The development marks an important step in her efforts to formalize the new party.

Earlier, the Central Election Commission had informed the court about errors in the application submitted for party registration. This had slowed down the process. However, Kavitha’s legal team clarified that all the errors have now been corrected. Therefore, they requested the court to direct the Commission to proceed with the application.
