During a media briefing at the Assembly, he questioned the government’s priorities. According to him, the budget ignored the promised six guarantees.

The total outlay increased by Rs 20,000 crore. The document also became longer by 20 pages. Yet, the speech did not mention clear funding for the six guarantees. Instead, he said the figures remained only on paper.

Therefore, he accused the government of lacking commitment to public welfare. He also claimed welfare promises to SC, ST, BC and minority groups targeted elections.

Earlier schemes also came up during his criticism. Rajiv Yuva Vikas remained at Rs 6,000 crore, he noted.

The same allocation appeared last year. Likewise, Indiramma Atmiya Bharosa showed no progress. No spending took place on these promises, he alleged.

Serious concerns also emerged about pensions. No hike appeared in the budget, he said. Retired employees saw no relief.

RTC workers also received no major benefits. Singareni workers faced a similar situation, he added.

Several backward class communities also saw no support, he claimed. Women, minorities and tribal groups also missed benefits.

Even Anganwadi and ASHA workers remained neglected, he said. As a result, he described the budget as empty for common citizens.

Debt levels formed another key issue. The state borrowed over Rs 3.5 lakh crore in under three years, he claimed. In comparison, he praised the previous BRS government. Projects like Kaleshwaram and Mission Bhagiratha created assets, he said. Medical colleges also expanded infrastructure.

Economic indicators also worried him. GSDP growth fell to 10.7 percent, he said. Earlier, it stood at 12.5 percent. Per capita income growth also declined.

The rate dropped from 14 percent to 10 percent. Such trends showed policy failure, he argued.

Farmers also faced hardship, he said. Rythu Bandhu payments saw delays. Funding for six guarantees also fell.

The allocation dropped from Rs 56,000 crore to Rs 50,000 crore. Hence, he demanded an apology to farmers.

Power supply claims also came under attack. The previous government ensured round the clock supply, he said.

Pension cuts also raised questions. About three lakh pensions disappeared, he alleged. Meanwhile, many still wait for pension hikes.

Allegations of corruption also surfaced in his speech. Tender processes raised doubts, he claimed.

Industrial policies also lacked clarity. Investors may hesitate under such conditions, he warned. In conclusion, he called the budget misleading and disappointing. (Maxim News)
