Bakery Owner Arrested For Illegal Petrol Sale

Hyderabad, March 25: Police arrested a bakery owner for illegally selling petrol in Adilabad on Wednesday. The accused was caught selling fuel without authorisation. Officials seized 30 liters of petrol from his possession during the operation.

However, police identified the accused as Faizal, who runs a bakery near the old bus stand. According to officials, he was selling petrol to motorists in violation of rules. He had stored the fuel inside his bakery. Police caught him while he was supplying petrol to customers during a raid conducted after a complaint.

Meanwhile, authorities acted swiftly after receiving information about the illegal sale. The raid confirmed that the fuel was being stored and sold openly. Police then seized the petrol and arrested the accused. The action aimed to prevent unsafe practices and enforce regulations.

Further, officials raised concerns over the risks involved in such activities. They said unauthorised storage and sale of petrol can lead to serious fire hazards. Therefore, police stressed the need for strict monitoring and public awareness.

Adilabad Superintendent of Police Akhil Mahajan also addressed the issue. He urged the public not to believe rumours circulating on social media about a fuel shortage. He clarified that such misinformation can create panic and encourage illegal activities.

He also asked citizens to report any unauthorised sale of petrol to the nearest police station. According to him, both illegal storage and open sale of fuel can lead to accidents and possible casualties. Therefore, timely reporting can help prevent dangerous incidents.

The incident highlights the growing concern over illegal fuel sales in public places. Authorities continue to monitor such violations and take action against offenders. Police also reiterated their appeal to the public to remain alert and avoid engaging in unsafe practices.
