Hyderabad, March 28: Thunderstorm Warning Telangana has been issued by the India Meteorological Department for March 29, 2026. The alert covers several parts of the state. It warns of thunderstorms, lightning, and strong winds during the day.

According to the latest IMD bulletin, 19 districts are likely to face unstable weather. These include Adilabad, Kumaram Bheem Asifabad, Nirmal, Nizamabad, Bhadradri Kothagudem, and Khammam. Meanwhile, Mahabubabad, Rangareddy, Hyderabad, Medchal Malkajgiri, and Vikarabad are also on the list.

Further, Sangareddy, Medak, Kamareddy, Mahabubnagar, Nagarkurnool, Wanaparthy, Narayanpet, and Jogulamba Gadwal may also see weather changes. Isolated rain spells and gusty winds are expected across these districts.

Meanwhile, the IMD advised residents to remain cautious during this period. People should stay indoors during thunderstorms. Also, they should avoid open areas and tall structures during lightning activity.

In addition, gusty winds may cause loose objects to move. Therefore, residents should secure such items in advance. Authorities also asked people to keep track of regular weather updates.

Along with the Thunderstorm Warning Telangana, the IMD shared temperature forecasts. The maximum temperature is expected to be around 38°C. The minimum temperature may stay near 25°C. The weather will remain warm and humid.

However, sudden changes may occur due to thunderstorm activity. Such pre-summer thunderstorms are common in Telangana during this time. They often bring brief relief from heat. At the same time, they can cause sudden disruptions.
