According to a press release, the rebate is part of a one-time settlement scheme. It applies to pending property taxes for the financial year 2025-26. Officials said the measure aims to help taxpayers clear long-standing dues before the end of the payment deadline.

Meanwhile, the GHMC urged property owners to use this opportunity and settle their outstanding taxes. The civic body said taxpayers can complete the payment process through multiple channels. This includes the official portal at www.ghmc.gov.in, the MyCURE mobile application, Mee Seva centres, and Citizen Service Centres.

The civic body further stated that residents who take advantage of the rebate scheme before the deadline can regularize their property tax records. Therefore, officials advised taxpayers to act early and avoid last-minute rush at service centres and online portals.

The announcement comes as GHMC continues its efforts to improve tax compliance and encourage timely payments across the city.
