- EAPCET 2026 applications surge across Engineering and Agriculture streams
- Late fee window open as Telangana EAPCET 2026 crosses expectations
The Telangana EAPCET 2026 application deadline has officially ended, with a large number of candidates applying for professional courses across the state. The final date to submit applications without a late fee was April 4. By Saturday evening, officials confirmed that applications had reached significant numbers.
According to officials, a total of 289,974 candidates applied for Telangana EAPCET 2026. Among them, 203,167 candidates opted for Engineering courses. Meanwhile, 86,523 candidates applied for Agriculture and Pharmacy streams. In addition, 284 candidates submitted applications for both streams, reflecting interest across disciplines.
Officials also noted a strong participation from female candidates. This trend highlights growing access and interest in professional education. Meanwhile, comparisons with previous years show a similar pattern. Last year, more than 300,000 candidates had applied for the entrance test.
However, the application process is not fully closed. Authorities have opened a late fee window for Telangana EAPCET 2026. Candidates can still apply between April 5 and May 2 by paying a late fee. The fee ranges from ₹250 to ₹10,000, depending on the delay period. Therefore, officials expect the total number of applications to rise further in the coming weeks.
In terms of fees, General category candidates paid ₹900 for a single stream. Meanwhile, SC, ST, and differently-abled candidates paid ₹500. For those applying to both Engineering and Agriculture streams, the fee was ₹1,800 for General candidates and ₹1,000 for reserved categories.
Admissions through Telangana EAPCET 2026 will depend on the ranks secured by candidates. These ranks will determine entry into Engineering, Agriculture, and Pharmacy courses. The seats are available in state universities as well as private unaided colleges across Telangana.
Overall, Telangana EAPCET 2026 has seen strong participation. The numbers suggest continued demand for professional courses in the state. Meanwhile, the late application window is expected to push totals beyond previous records.
