CM Revanth clarified that linking the implementation of the Women’s Bill with delimitation will be unfair and both should be considered as separate issues. CM Revanth Reddy opined that the entire country welcomes the implementation of women’s quota in the legislatures and this should not be delayed under any circumstances.
He urged that steps be taken to immediately implement women’s reservation in assembly seats in the states. He stated in his letter that linking a key decision related to women’s empowerment with the delimitation process will delay its implementation, which is not the right approach.

CM Revanth Reddy expressed deep concern over the re-division of Lok Sabha constituencies. He warned that if delimitation is carried out only on the basis of population, the southern states are at risk of serious losses.
This policy will be unfair to the southern states and small states that have followed population control. Revanth Reddy said that this process may temporarily benefit some political parties like the BJP, but in the long run it will harm the integrity of the country.
CM Revanth Reddy reminded that the interests of the country are supreme over the interests of the party.
Revanth Reddy suggested that instead of taking only the population ratio as the standard, other alternative models should also be considered.
Keeping the future of the country in mind, he urged that a consensus be reached at the national level by consulting all political parties. He appealed to the Prime Minister to take a step forward on delimitation only after comprehensive discussions, respecting the opinions of all. (Maxim News)
