BJP Allegations Against Revanth Reddy Draw Sharp Response from Jaggareddy

Hyderabad, April 14 (Maxim News) : Former MLA Jaggareddy on Tuesday dismissed allegations made by BJP leaders against Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, calling them baseless and politically motivated. He said the opposition failed to address real issues and instead targeted the Chief Minister without credible evidence.
Speaking to the media at Gandhi Bhavan, Jaggareddy asserted that such accusations lacked value and distracted from public concerns. He stated that BJP leaders continued to raise claims without focusing on governance or policy matters. Moreover, he questioned the intent behind repeatedly targeting Revanth Reddy.

He also referred to similar allegations made against Minister Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy. However, he clarified that he had not yet reviewed all details regarding those claims. Still, he firmly stated that Ponguleti had not engaged in any land-related irregularities in the Sangareddy region.

Jaggareddy recalled that he himself faced similar accusations in the past. He said that after 2014, efforts were made to implicate him in wrongdoing. However, authorities failed to find any evidence against him despite repeated attempts. As a result, those pursuing the allegations grew frustrated.

Furthermore, Jaggareddy alleged that officials had earlier acted under pressure during the previous administration. He claimed that attempts were made to build cases against him, but none succeeded due to lack of proof.

He then linked the current controversy to the ongoing debate on delimitation. According to him, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy had clearly explained how delimitation could disadvantage southern states. He argued that BJP leaders could not accept this position and therefore began targeting the Chief Minister.

Additionally, he emphasized that political discourse should focus on facts and public welfare. He urged leaders to avoid making unverified allegations and instead engage in constructive debate.
The remarks come amid heightened political tensions in Telangana, where accusations and counter-accusations continue between ruling and opposition parties. (Maxim News)
