Alappuzha/Hyderabad, April 18 (Maxim News): The police have arrested the owners of two restaurant in Kerala. They recently created a poster showing Lord Krishna eating Kuzhi Mandhi. On the occasion of Vishu, the Malayalam new year, two restaurants made the poster and used it for advertising. The photo was designed to show Lord Krishna with the Arabian non-veg dish Kuzhi Mandhi

The accused in this case have been identified as Arshad and Shamnas. They run the Mehr Mandi and Grills restaurant. They have been booked under Section 192 (provoking riots) of the BSS Act. The restaurants used the photo for online promotion. A complaint was filed for sharing a photo of a Kuju Mandi dish in front of Lord Krishna with the message Happy Vishu. The photo was shared with the intention of hurting the sentiments of Hindus. The image was shared as a WhatsApp status on April 15. The restaurant owners later apologized in the wake of the controversy. (Maxim News)
