Hyderabad, April 23 (Maxim News): BRS state general secretary T Jeevan Reddy on Wednesday said Telangana’s future and development rested only in the hands of party chief and former Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR). He alleged that the present Congress government under Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has failed to protect weaker sections and neglected key development issues.
Addressing the media in Jagtial, Jeevan Reddy said the policies of the present government were pushing students from weaker sections away from education. He claimed that rising uncertainty in welfare schemes and lack of support were affecting poor families across the state. Moreover, he said the government must focus on social justice instead of political confrontations.
Referring to the recent Telangana High Court verdict on the Kaleshwaram project, Jeevan Reddy described it as a major setback for the Revanth Reddy government. He said the ruling exposed the Congress government’s political approach toward irrigation projects.
He demanded that the government immediately restore the Medigadda barrage for public use. According to him, the project was built to serve farmers and should not remain idle due to political reasons. He added that public interest must come before party rivalry.
Furthermore, Jeevan Reddy alleged that Chief Minister Revanth Reddy was obsessed with targeting KCR. He said even if the Chief Minister closed his eyes, he would still see KCR in his dreams. Because of that fear, he claimed, the government was ignoring real development issues.
Jeevan Reddy also praised former minister KT Rama Rao for the growth of Sircilla constituency. He said KTR worked hard to transform the constituency into one of the leading regions in Telangana.
He highlighted progress in education, healthcare and infrastructure during the previous BRS administration. He added that people still remember the work done under KTR’s leadership.
Jeevan Reddy expressed confidence that Telangana would once again move toward growth and stability under BRS leadership. He said the people would soon support a return to governance focused on welfare and development. (Maxim News)
