Viksit Bharat and Telangana Rising Must Go Together: Revanth Reddy

Hyderabad, May 10: Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy on Sunday urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to extend stronger support for the state’s long term development plans while backing the Centre’s “Viksit Bharat 2047” vision.

Addressing a gathering at the Hyderabad International Convention Centre in Gachibowli, Revanth Reddy described the occasion as a “festival of development” and stressed that national interest should remain above politics.

Welcoming Prime Minister Modi to Hyderabad, the chief minister said Telangana would fully support the Centre’s goal of transforming India into a developed nation by 2047.

“Telangana will fully support the Central Government’s Viksit Bharat 2047 vision. At the same time, the Centre should also champion the Telangana Rising 2047 roadmap,” Revanth Reddy said during his speech.

He stated that Telangana aims to become a one trillion dollar economy by 2034 and a three trillion dollar economy by 2047.

The chief minister also appealed to the prime minister for speedy approvals and support for several key infrastructure projects proposed by the state government.

Revanth seeks support for major Telangana projects

Revanth Reddy requested urgent clearance for the Musi River Rejuvenation Project and the Hyderabad Metro Rail expansion. He also sought support for the proposed 12 lane Hyderabad to Machilipatnam highway project.

The chief minister concluded his address with the slogans “Jai Telangana” and “Jai Bharat,” drawing applause from the audience.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Hyderabad on Sunday to launch and inaugurate development projects worth nearly Rs 9,400 crore.

At the HICC event, Modi laid the foundation stone for several road and industrial infrastructure projects. These included the four laning of National Highway 167 from Gudebellur to Mahabubnagar under the Hyderabad Panaji Economic Corridor.

The prime minister also launched works related to the Zaheerabad Industrial Area in Sangareddy district.

In addition, Modi inaugurated sections of the Kazipet Vijayawada multi tracking railway project, the Greenfield Petroleum Oil and Lubricants terminal in Hyderabad, and the Kazipet Rail Under Rail bypass project.

He also inaugurated the PM MITRA Park at Warangal, also known as the Kakatiya Mega Textile Park, which is expected to boost textile manufacturing and employment generation in Telangana.
