Youth Congress Shapes Future Leadership: Shabbir Ali

Hyderabad, May 11: Telangana Government advisor Mohammed Ali Shabbir said the Youth Congress was a platform that shaped future political leadership and urged young leaders to actively fight for public issues while strengthening the Congress party at the grassroots level.

Addressing the Bhiknoor Mandal Youth Congress executive committee meeting held at SV Garden in Bhiknoor town of Kamareddy district on Monday, Shabbir Ali said several prominent leaders in the state and across the country had emerged through the Youth Congress.

He recalled his own political journey and said he had actively participated in several agitations during his Youth Congress days. He stated that he even underwent a month long jail term for participating in an Assembly protest movement and said those struggles later became the foundation of his political career.

“I became a minister at the age of 32 because of the struggles and experience gained in Youth Congress,” he said.

Shabbir Ali said Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy recognised the sacrifices and struggles of Youth Congress leaders and believed that only those with commitment and fighting spirit would have a strong political future.

He urged youth leaders to stay connected with people, understand their problems and raise their voice against corruption and anti people policies. He stressed that the role of youth was crucial in strengthening the Congress party and called for the formation of Youth Congress committees in every village.

The Congress leader also said the party always recognised hardworking leaders and provided opportunities for political growth. He asked young leaders to take the party’s ideology and welfare agenda to the grassroots level.

During the programme, appointment letters were distributed to newly elected Youth Congress mandal and town presidents in the presence of state Youth Congress leader Mohammed Ilyas and district Youth Congress president Madhusudan.

Speaking on the occasion, Mohammed Ilyas urged youth to actively participate in politics and strengthen the Congress organisation at the village level.

Earlier in the day, Shabbir Ali participated in Indiramma housing scheme housewarming ceremonies held at Rameshwarampally village in Biknoor mandal along with beneficiaries.

Addressing the gathering, he said the Congress government was implementing welfare schemes to improve the lives of poor families. He stated that the Indiramma housing scheme was being implemented on a large scale to provide dignified housing for homeless families.

Shabbir Ali said 3,500 houses had been sanctioned for every Assembly constituency and were being allotted to genuinely eligible beneficiaries. He added that the government aimed to improve living standards in rural areas by providing better housing and infrastructure.

He also said the government under Chief Minister Revanth Reddy was committed to ensuring housing, education, healthcare and employment opportunities for every poor family in the state.

Former DCC president Kaila Srinivas Rao, Library Chairman Maddi Chandrakant Reddy, State General Secretary Indrakaran Reddy, Kamareddy Municipal Chairperson Uma Srinivas and several Congress leaders and party workers attended the programme.
